The Dirty Internet - Part 1
by Matt Fiske on 31 Aug 2007

Everyone knows about Wikipedia, the user-managed encyclopedia of all things knowledge (and then some). This source of information is sometimes criticized for the quality of its veracity, but the intent is for it to be as accurate as possible.
Encyclopedia Dramatica does the opposite, by deliberately encouraging users to make slanted, biased, humorous and often times juvenile articles about various topics of interest from an internet-culture perspective. Depending on your sense of humor, you may be able to appreciate this "anti-Wikipedia."
Here is a sample from an article that explains the internet:
- "The Internets, a magical cloud of information that floats over your head in the stratosphere, was invented at least 100 years ago by Al Gore and pluralized by George W. Bush. At first it was used only by the army, ensuring that in the event of nuclear war, officers could still view porn." - Encyclopedia Dramatica

2) There's also an 'Conservapedia,' made by Republicans and Conservatives who thought Wiki to be too liberal. Its the word of the people, man.
